Our little blueberry...our little pumpkin?

Harper's outfits make me hungry, what with their food themes.  What's next?  A kibble-themed onesie?  Mmm...kibble...delicious.

Ready to visit the farm

Amos and I got to visit the farm a few years ago, home base for Beth's family.  It wasn't a planned visit, per se.  Something about a boarding reservation that didn't materialize and before you know it...road trip!  I didn't get to see much of the farm since I was mostly confined to a crate in the laundry room.  Something about needing to "calm down!" and "stop panting!"

Harper's first visit to the farm is a more planned endeavor.  She has even taken the initiative to learn about agriculture.  Important lessons like "what is a duck?" or "what does a lamb feel like?"

Is she growing? I can't tell...

Also, why didn't Michael and Beth take month-by-month pictures of Amos and me?  Do they not make month-by-month stickers for canine sorts?  Is it because the dog years conversion is too difficult?  It's not that hard.  Just multiply by 7.  Or divide by 7.  Ok, maybe the conversion is difficult.

Bath time for Harper!

Amos and I hate taking baths. Hate them with a passion. Harper doesn't seem to mind them. In fact, she seems to enjoy them! Just look how happy she is, all clean and shiny. And with a bib that makes her look...Elizabethan.

Silly Harper faces

have one facial expression. I call it "the underbite." Harper has several...

Harper the napper

Harper likes napping with Michael. I can relate...there was a time Amos and I also enjoyed napping with peoples. That was a long time ago. Back when we were allowed in the pretty part(s) of the house. Not that we're complaining. The basement is cool and lovely. Especially during the hot Indiana summer.

Harper is 1 month old!

Michael and Beth took Harper to the vet, I mean the pediatrician, yesterday for her 1 month check-up.  She's growing right on track (9 lbs 6 oz, 20 in) and even got a shot.  Amos and I are jealous that Harper got a Bugs Bunny Band-aid when she got her vaccination.  Aunt Emily, we're looking at you.  Can we get Band-aids for our next vaccinations?  The rabies, distemper, etc.?  Band-aids make everything better.

Reunited and it feels so good...

Harper and Michael really seem excited to see each other when Michael gets home from work. Amos and I are excited too...but apparently not picture worthy excited.

She's growing like a weed!

Can you believe Harper is already too big to wear size nb clothes? For reference, just look at how big she is compared to that elephant!
P.S. Harper, would you consider sharing your chew toys with Amos and me? We promise we won't destroy them...

Happy 4th of July!

Amos and I find this holiday somewhat unnerving.  Lots of loud noises.  Lots of big colorful explosions in the sky.  Harper doesn't seem to mind the festivities.

Wrapped around her little finger...

Well, not quite.  I was going to say Harper seems like she has Michael wrapped around her little finger.  But, as this photographic evidence demonstrates, Harper is wrapped around Michael's index and ring fingers.  Well played, Harper.  Well played.

Harper is 7 weeks old!

...in dog years.  In dog weeks?

Harper's first vet appointment

Did you know babies don't go to the vet? They go to something called a pediatrician. Noted.
So Harper's first pediatrician appointment was this morning. She checked out a-ok! She's back to her birth weight (7 lbs, 15 oz) and as a special treat, enjoyed her first trip to Target with Beth.

A new sheriff in town

Amos and I have accepted there is a new sheriff in town.  It was pretty clear when Beth forgot to let us back inside last night. Truth be told, it was kind of nice to sleep under the stars on a nice summer night. Back to the sheriff, check out those guns! Get it? Guns? Like biceps? Because Harper looks like she's flexing?

I've been replaced...

...as Beth's favorite photography subject.  Amos too.  Looks like that honor is now Harper's.
Or the nest of baby birds in hydrangea tree outside.
But mostly Harper.  Especially when she's relaxing with Michael.

Harper Elizabeth!

I'm excited to reactivate the dog blog! And for good reason. Amos and I have a new little sister. She only has two legs and no tail but we love her nonetheless. Michael and Beth think she's perfect.
