Happy Thanksgiving!

We're enjoying the last day of the l...o...n...g Thanksgiving weekend with Beth and Michael.  Enjoying by taking naps in the sun, of course.
I wish Beth wouldn't have woken me up to take my picture.

Nappin' in the sun

Some folks like singing in the rain.  Me?  I prefer nappin' in the sun.  What a perfect Saturday.

Are we not cute enough?

Do Beth and Michael think we're not cute enough anymore?  Beth asked if she could borrow the blog for a few months to post...wait for it...pictures not involving yours truly and/or Amos Q. Beaglesworth.  I wonder if it has anything to do with our new digs.  We were uprooted for the casa for some reason.  Not sure why, but Beth and Michael keep talking about how much we'll enjoy our next abode.  That we'll have more room to run and play in the great outdoors.

I'm free!

Just call me Houdini bulldog.  After a day in the cone of shame, I escaped!  Take that, Aunt Emily.  5 days in the cone so I wouldn't itch my eye?  Forget about it.  My eye is fine, thank you very much.

I look ridiculous

Lazy Sunday

This Sunday afternoon of indoor sunbathing is brought to you by the letter T.  And the number 2.  That's short for two lazy dogs.

A nap among the sandals

Beth washed our pillows over the weekend so I was forced to improvise a napping surface.  Lucky for me (and much to Michael's chagrin), Beth routinely leaves shoes in the front room.  So comforting.  So relaxing.

It's a scorcher!

It's been stinking hot in Indiana recently.  Temperatures in the upper 90s are not fun for a bulldog like myself.  I've found some comfort by sprawling on the cool tile floor with the cool breeze from the vent in my face.  I wish I could figure out how to rotate pictures.  Maybe it's the heat that's affecting my computer savvy.

Happy beagle!

Have you ever seen a happier canine?  Doesn't Amos look like he's smiling?  And his tail is wagging so fast it's invisible!

Dogs as rats

Don't we look like rats here?  Big, giant, smelly rats?

Pillow update

It's been a while since I announced new pillows at the casa.  Amos and I have greatly enjoyed them.  Sometimes Amos gets a little greedy and tries the double decker pillow.
Sometimes Amos takes the pillow I'd like to lounge on.  I usually just have to hover near him and he gets the hint and relocates.  Silly beagle.

Amos takes a turn by the door

I'm not the only one holding down the fort by the door.  Amos Q. Beaglesworth spends a lot of time there.  Mostly whining to be let outside.  We spent a lot of time outside this weekend.  Beth mowed the grass yesterday and we went out and ate clippings.  Then Michael made some burgers on the grill tonight and we ate the charcoal ashy bits.  Deeeeeeeeeeelicious.  I wish I knew how to rotate pictures.

I'm back!

Hello, faithful readership. It's summer and I'm back!  I've had a vicious case of writer's block the last few months but have felt a surge of creativity.  Watch out for regular anecdotes from the casa.

New pillows!

As promised, Beth sewed us new lounging pillows. They are fluffy and wonderful. A great surface for some closed eye bowling pin chewing.

Neighborhood watch

There was some commotion across the street today. Amos and I spent a good deal of time by the window, barking. Just kidding. Amos doesn't bark. I was the only one barking. And can you blame me? There was a construction crew pouring a foundation for a new house. In the snow. Who pours concrete in the snow!?!!??!

Last nap on the dog pillow

It's been a while since my last blog post. I'd like to post about something fun and exciting...what could be more fun and exciting than a nap??? This one is particularly interesting because of the napping surface. Apparently it is time for these pillows to be retired. Beth promised the new ones would be fluffier and cozier...I'll believe that when I see it.Amos is not as sentimental as I am. He forwent the farewell pillow nap for a simple carpet nap. Silly beagle.
New pillow pictures to follow....
