The great outdoors

I love being outdoors. I'm so glad the fence is done. Well, almost done. Still needs some post caps.
Amos is enjoying the outdoors too. He likes to keep an eye on the neighborhood. But mostly we enjoy running in the yard.

The red bowling pin

I have, on occasion, blogged about my affinity for my red bowling pin. Well, apparently Amos is a fan of it too:
I had no choice but to reclaim the bowling pin...
...and escape to higher ground.

We're free!

No fair

Amos gets to play outside before the fence is done. And, to add insult to injury, he's unleashed!Aren't his ears funny? I can't wait until the fence is done and I too can experience the freedom of the great (fenced-in) outdoors.

Family tug

Amos continues to make himself at home. Today he got the great idea to play tug with me. Silly beagle...he doesn't realize how much stronger I am than he is.Sometimes I need some alone time. That's when I retreat to my chair. That plan works well...until someone lifts him onto my chair. Not cool, Michael and Beth, not cool.Regardless, I must admit that Amos is a cute little guy and a great addition to our family.

Amos and the tennis ball

Amos has taken a liking to my tennis ball (he also likes cowering between shoes, but that's another story for another time). He looked like he was having a lot of fun with it......so I took it from him.

Welcome Amos!

Amos came home today. I didn't know I would be getting a little brother so soon! I gave him the old once-over when he got to the casa. He seems to be an alright little guy. He hasn't said much yet - I try to engage him in conversation, but to no avail.

Have dog bed, will travel

I continued my spree of acting out this morning. Could it have to do with the impending Amos arrival? The full moon? The chance of thunderstorms today? For whatever reason, I decided my mattress was better suited for the living room floor than for my crate.

Play date with Mabel

Beth thought it would be a good idea to test drive a member of the hound family before Amos comes to stay with us. So she invited Mabel over for a play date. And play we did!It was exhausting.

Exciting news!

Michael and Beth shared some excited news with me recently - I'm getting a little brother! His name is Amos. I don't know when he'll be joining our family, but I hope it's soon!I've been acting out since they told me the news...just a little. Like when I removed the battery cover from the DVR remote and gnawed on it. No, that's not a roach on the coffee table. That's a battery cover. A chewed up battery cover.
